Keeping Up With the Science of Smiles
We make it a point to keep current with the latest technology-to
the extent that it helps us visualize our work, educate our
patients, and keep our patients comfortable. For example,
we can place our tiny, specialized Intra Oral Camera in your
mouth and instantly show you what's going on with your teeth,
projecting the real-time image on an adjacent TV screen for
discussion.
And to help US see what we need to see, we often use magnification
loopes-mini microscopes mounted on safety glasses, sometimes
accompanied by a kind of 'coal miner's' light. These greatly
illuminate even the tiniest areas within the mouth where we're
working, helping us to be extremely precise in examination,
diagnosis and treatment.
We've also invested in a highly specialized "Endodontic
Electric Handpiece and Apex Locator". These nifty little
appliances help us do root canal treatment with better precision
and efficiency, and with better overall results as well.
All
of which means the patient is more comfortable too. Although
we still have to take conventional radiograph for insurance
purposes as well, we have found this tool to be a worthwhile
investment for all concerned!
